Introducing sweet baby Nadia, whose name means Hope because that's exactly what she needs, hope and a chance for survival so we are going to try our best to give her just that!!
Nadie was just 6 months old, belonged to an Amish family and she began walking "funny" in her back end which quickly progressed to barely walking at all with major sores on her feet from dragging them. She is a very unusual medical case, requiring major knee surgery on both legs and possibly hip surgery in the future.
In early January, we raised enough donations to cover Nadia's surgery expenses and she had surgery on both knees! The surgery appears to have corrected both knees, but she has 6 weeks of crate rest before a follow up x-ray will be taken. Nadia is a strong willed little fighter and her foster family knows she'll be running around like crazy in no time! Other Pictures of Nadia (click to see larger version):
