Meet Koda! So stunningly handsome, you'll have to take a second look! This fabulous boy has a personality to match his good looks and is sure to be a show stopper.

A gentle giant who is well mannered, house trained, loves playtime with large dogs (his shear size scares the little ones), is tolerant of kitties, and has never met a stanger! Because of this shear size, he is not well suited for a home with children under 8 yrs of age.

Great Danes are absolute companion dogs-they only want to please and be with their people, also they are a very short-coated breed-unable to tolerate the cold and heat well... These facts require them to be indoor, family pets but you must consider your home environment and lifestyle and its ability to withstand a giant breed before considering making him a part of your family...

  • Not only items on the table top but also counter and stove are all easily accessible.
  • Their tail is like a whip, clearing your coffee table in an instant. Or knocking down or even bruising small children in their excitement.
  • Standing 2-3 foot tall at the shoulders(not including head and neck) will your car accomodate them?
  • They eat a lot of food to sustain their energy and weight (a 40lb bag of quality food may last 3-4 weeks with a Dane).
  • Veterinary costs are weight based, therefore much higher for thi 150+ lb dog than say a Yorkie.

These items are not meant to scare you, but to prepare you. While these can be some of the negative aspects of owning a great dane, there are at least twice as many positive points to owning such a loving, dependable, loyal dog. Please research this breed in depth to help determine if they are well suited for your home and lifestyle. www.all-about-great-danes.com
