Update:  Great News!  Rayna's heartworm treatment is over and she is on the road to a long and healthy life.  Puppies born, weaned and off to good homes, her heartworm treated and now the only thing left on her check list is to find a home for herself.

She is a wonderful young lab that is very smart and well behaved.  She would love to have a woman to follow around and give all of her love to.  She loves attention and snuggles and just to lay at your feet.  Rayna would love her new person to enjoy long walks and playing ball, and maybe some doggie play groups.

After all that she's been through - she deserves a wonderful home full of love.  Could it be yours?


Meet the  matriarch of the"Nashville" litter!  Named after that popular new TV Show with the star character being Rayna James.  Well in our version - Rayna is played by our beautiful mama - a yellow labrador retriever , who found herself down and out and in search for food, a warm bed and a safe place to have her puppies.

Well, lucky for her she found Genesis Animal Rescue and one of our volunteers that has a weak spot for yellow labs!  So she got the comfy food, all the puppy food she could eat and company to sit with her and wa it for the new babies!  What a surprise it was when she had 13 little babies!!!!  We knew that Labs have large litters, and our vet told us she say 9-10 on the x-rays....but 13?  Wow!
