Learn more about the Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie.
UPDATE: Becca and Toby were part of The Yorkie Quad relinquished to us March 2014, due to their owner's passing. They were adopted together soon after, but sadly have proved to be unhappy in their busy, active adoptive home and are once again searching for a family. Their previous life in a calm, quiet environment will be their best match in a new family as well. A retired couple or single person who works from home would be ideal for this bonded pair. They love to cuddle and enjoy the company of other dogs/cats and love to greet everyone, even children on their daily walks-they just prefer less business when they're snuggling at home. Becca is very outgoing and requires a lot of attention from her people and her little sidekick, Toby is her shadow, following her lead on every new adventure. They are house trained to a dog door, scheduling potty breaks and on leash will be an adjustment for them. Because they are a bonded pair, they must be adopted together, therefore qualify for a reduced adoption fee.
3/2014: The Yorkie Quad...this adorable group of 4 purebred yorkies came to us after their owner passed away. They have been beloved house dogs, once a breeding group, but always house pets and now ready for families to simply love and cherish them. They were house trained to a doggie door and a small fenced yard, so being on leash is new to them and learning to go outside on a schedule is an adjustment rather than being able to go in and out freely. They very much want to be lap dogs and are quite content just being snuggled. Because they have always been together, they would be ideally suited with another canine companion in their new home, rather than being an only dog. Small children are not ideal for them, since they are so tiny and have not grown up/interacted with small children much at all, 10 years and older preferred.
