We received a call that a stray, feral dog had taken up residence in a dilapidated barn on some country land, and may have had puppies 4 weeks ago. They asked if we could help rescue the puppies?! Challenge accepted - these furbabies needed to be rescued!

We visited the dilapidated barn with help from the property owner, but it was very difficult to get around or find the puppies - no sign of them! We set live traps with yummy food a nd the property owners helped us watch for the pups. 

First, we caught Momma and then we looked for her puppies when we went to get her. We found 5 puppies BUT they were burrowed in tunnels and dens throughout the barn. We couldn't get to all of them. So, after a many hours we left with Momma and 4 baby boys - and some very dirty volunteers. We knew there was one puppy left but we couldn't get to him. 

So, we left yummy food out again that night and caught him! Stay tuned for updates on Momma and her 5 baby boys!!
