Learn more about the Bernese Mountain Dog.
Sweet, shy Tessa is a beautiful girl begging for attention, but very nervous until she gets to know you. She loves and must have another dog, about her size to be her trustworthy companion and show her how to be a dog. She has spent the last several months of her puppyhood in a boarding kennel for no fault of her own. So, she is just now working on building her social skills and basic obedience. She has found a new love for hiding shoes in her foster home, but we’re happy she is coming out of her shell and showing us some puppy antics! She craves attention and loves to please so in the right home, with an experienced Bernese owner and a canine companion, she will thrive! She is crate trained and seems to be house trained so far. She is a big girl at 85lbs, likely too big and anxious for an apartment setting. Tessa will warm up to her adult humans after a bit of coaxing, but children make her very nervous so her new home will not have young children. Please do not apply if you do not meet these necessary requirements for Tessa’s happiness. Thank you.
