Rex is the quintessential Jack Russell puppy - full of energy and ready to take on the world!  He is inquisitive, confident and fun loving - just out looking for a good time.  He LOVES tennis balls and like a Lab will retrieve as long as you are willing to throw it.  Another interesting "Lab-like" trait is his love for water.  He will beg to get in the bathtub with you - luckily he has yet to figure out that he could jump in by himself.  If held above a tub of water he "dog paddles" in the air. He has truly found a love in his kiddie swimming pool this summer-it's so much fun and a great way to cool off!

Because of his very high energy level and his high level of confidence we will require an experience dog owner for his new home.  His perfect home would be with other Jack Russels or at least another fun dog who will enjoy playtime with him, and/or with a person looking to compete in dog obedience, flyball or agility. He is great at lengthy runs with his person to, training for a marathon...Rex is your partner!!

Also due to his energy level he will not be placed in a home with children under 5. He loves kids, but tends to startle and jump on small kids who are not prepared for such an "in your face" dog.
