Meet Chewie - one of the newest pets in our program. He is named for Chewbacca - that famed Wookie of Star Wars fame.  When you pick him up and look him in the eye - he looks JUST like Chewbacca - except smaller of course -  much smaller.

But don't let looks fool you.  He may look like a fru-fru lap dog - and he DOES like his share of lap time.....but he is all about FUN and playing and doing boy things - like running and playing ball. 

He LOVES children and is very appropriate - give kisses and follows them along - but not overbearing at all. He also loves men.  If both laps are available - he always picks my husband.

He is housebroken and will bark when he needs to go outside.  He can be left alone without being crated and is not destructive.  (well - we won't count the roll of paper towels - that was just fun)

As long as he is inside the house or a fenced in yard he will willingly trot along and come when called.  But if he gets outside a fenced area - all bets are off!  He runs like the wind!  Which is probably how he came about being in the animal control facility where we found him.

So he will need either a fenced yard - or an owner that PROMISES that they will not let him off lead.
