According to their foster mom, Jade and Topaz have made tremendous progress with their socialization since joining the Genesis Program.  They are extremely playful with each other and with the adult cats in their foster home but are still a little shy of their foster dog even though he is very calm and gentle with them.  They have discovered the TV and sports seem to be their favorite.  Their foster family thinks it is quite humorous when they try to follow the football and basketball players on the screen.  They have started jumping up on the couch with their foster mom and dad and doing lots of snuggling.  Although she has made great strides in her socialization with adults, Topaz is still very fearful of children and of dogs.  For this reason, she will not be placed in a home with dogs or with children under the age of 10.

Introducing The Semi-Precious Stone Litter...Topaz, Ruby, Opal, Jade, Onyx, and Amber...who's names are oh so fitting since they are such stunningly beautiful babies, with not quite so precious, outgoing personalities-YET!

These gorgeous kittens were born to a neighborhood stray, so they had limited human interaction and socialization prior to coming into our loving foster homes at 8 weeks old. They have been gradually accepting all the love and affection, and will continue to trust as they continuing bonding. Since they are shy, reserved babies, they will be best suited in a calmer home, without small children to frighten them-although they do not hiss, they would just spend their day hiding under the bed in fear. In ample time they will come out of their shells and let their true boisterous Siamese personalities shine through!
