Kip aka one of the six "K-club" dogs. Six of 70+ dogs were rescued by our organization out of a hoarder situation in early January 2014. All beautiful, friendly, and loving dogs so deserving of knowing the good life in a forever home! UPDATE 3/23/13: Kip came to our organization with several health needs, which is often the case in animals that come from hoarding situations. We are happy and proud to say that they have all been addressed and he has received the all clear to move on to a forever home by our veterinary staff. Kip came to us heartworm positive, needing extensive dental care, and with a small mast cell tumor on his hind leg. Through these three months of treatment, Kip has been a real trooper and has been found to have a very sweet and gentle disposition in spite of it all – even while wearing a “cone”!! His foster mom raves about how Kip has “come alive” in the last few weeks as each of his health challenges were defeated – wagging his tail so much more, being very excited for food, excited to go outside, showing a lot more exuberance when his foster parents come home from work, and more. His favorite spot in on the couch next to his person and although he loves attention and being near to you, isn’t pushy about it. He has not shown any tendencies towards destruction and has only had an accident or two in the house in the last month. He crates during the day while his foster parents work but is out while they are home or if they step out for just a brief time. He sleeps in a doggie bed next to his foster brother overnight in his parents’ room. He shares his foster home with three cats and a senior cocker spaniel and has gotten along beautifully with them. He has spent a lot of time with his foster momma’s 5yr old niece and is gentle and tolerant of her. His exercise needs will be minimal but he does enjoy being outside even if it is just a quick walk around the yard or a bit of basking in the sun. He does not show much interest in dog toys but now that his teeth are clean again, he is showing more interest in treats. This loving boy will melt your heart with his outstanding personality and true love for life and everyone he meets! Don't miss out on welcoming this boy into your home!
