Rainbow Bridge
We adopted Lenny from Genesis in 2006, he was a wonderful addition to our family and still see him on the ‘success’ webpage. Since adoption Lenny developed diabetes and we gave him 2 shots daily until his death this past January. He was such a good brother to our other schnauzer Shivas who passed in May of last year. I need to let you know that I had to have Stella put down this past week. They found a tumor in the back of her mouth and throat the size of a golf ball. I'm devastated. She had shown no signs of illness at all. She was eating good and playing fetch like normal. I had noticed that she acted in the last couple days like she had some tenderness in her mouth when she would catch the ball. I thought that she probably had a bad tooth so I checked as good as I could and didnt find anything. She never showed pain anywhere I touched her. When I took her to the vet they sedated her so they could really examine her and thats when they found the tumor. After further examination they found that it also was in her cheek. What makes the situation worse at least for me was that I had to have my black lab Nora put down 2 weeks prior. They found that she had bone cancer in her hind leg. Nora was Stellas rock. I can a least find comfort in the fact that they are both together again. I miss them terribly. |
